    Job Requirements &
    Responsibilities:

There’s still time to list your summer law clerk opportunities with the LCC’s Minority Outreach Program. The MOP is one of the premier ways law students of color can increase their exposure to union side labor law and the movement to protect the rights and gains of working families. As the labor movement’s lawyers, we need to be reaching out to and attracting a diverse group of students to represent the workers and unions of today and tomorrow. If your firm or legal department has not yet listed your law clerk opportunities with the Minority Outreach Program for 2014, but would like to, please send us a brief job description; a short narrative of the work performed by your firm or department; the salary for the position; and the name of a contact person in your office to receive all relevant correspondence to rsteber@aflcio.org or fax (202-637-5323). Please specify any requirements for the position, including whether you are willing to consider first-year students or whether second-year students only should apply. Please also provide a designated contact person from your firm or legal department for future Minority Outreach Program correspondence. Your listing will be posted on the LCC’s public access page for students to review and apply directly to you. The list can be accessed at http://unionlawyers.aflcio.org  If you have questions about the MOP, please contact Angelia Wade Stubbs, awade@aflcio.org.

The ever-popular LCC Minority Outreach Program Summer Law Clerk Networking Conference will be held at the AFL-CIO headquarters on June 5 and 6, 2014. Please make a note of these dates as you recruit and hire your law students of color for summer positions.
